It was not without some trepidation that I embarked upon the task of writing the foreword for this, the publication which is to mark our branch's twenty-fifth anniversary. However, for better or worse, I happened to get the job. This publication will record in a permanent way some of the outstanding facets of our history. It was felt by members of the committee responsible for its production, that if these facts and memories were not collected now and placed on record, they would be lost forever.
