Bob Pittaway has been hunting pigs most of his life. As a highly successful farm manager his jobs have always placed him in the best hunting country. The book covers some of the hunting Bob has enjoyed around the country from the Wanganui hinterland to the East Cape. Part of the book covers the years spent at Huiarua, a vast back country station that was like stepping back in time. Mobs of lamb killing pigs roamed the station destroying pasture and fences at will. How Bob controlled the pigs and developed the station to full modern production is a story of juggling men, dogs, pigs and time. As well as being a darn good hunting yarn, the fact that it is all true and happened within the last few years is remarkable.
